We appreciate everyone is dealing with multiple things at the moment and our thoughts are remaining positive for everyone effected - despite the closure, Verbier Green will be staying open to continue our recycling and waste transportation efforts.
As well as removal work, transportation of small and large items, and of course recycling, we would also like to extend our services to helping those effected by the virus - this includes assisting with shopping and household recycling, should you be unable to do it yourself.

GREENSTYLING will be a series of talks and conversations held throughout the year at various locations - the format will be global sustainable issues, how they are relevant here in Valais and how we can / people are confronting them. Each talk will be on a different topic & will involve a number of influential and impactful members of our community - and of course sustainable food and drink for all! The first event will be on Wednesday March 4th at the brilliant @mountain_hub , and the topic will be FOOD. Due to high interest, the event will be guest list only. 🇬🇧 ♻️ We managed to find some time over the summer and chat to the guys at the spectacular @farinet_verbier about all things #green !
It’s great to work so closely with an organisation that’s motivated to continuously improve their sustainability agenda - over the past year @verbiergreen & @farinet_verbier have been working together, they now recycle more materials than ever before, and generate far less waste for incineration / landfill. Only onwards and upwards for these guys!

🇫🇷 ♻️ Nous avons réussi à trouver un peu de temps au cours de l'été et à discuter avec les gars du spectaculaire @farinet_verbier sur tout ce qui est vert!
C'est formidable de travailler si étroitement avec une organisation qui est motivée à améliorer continuellement son programme de développement durable - au cours de la dernière année, @verbiergreen et @farinet_verbier ont travaillé ensemble, ils recyclent désormais plus de matériaux que jamais et génèrent beaucoup moins de déchets pour l'incinération / la mise en décharge . Seulement en avant et en haut pour ces gars-là!

🇬🇧 ♻️ And here it is - the post you’ve all been waiting for - what’s going on with plastics in Switzerland!? To keep it simple - there are 7 types of plastics, each one determined by its make-up & design. Of the 7 types, you can only currently recycle 2 locally - this is due to them being a far higher quality plastic than the others. The first one you can recycle, is of course (1) PET. However, be careful you can only recycle PET bottles, not containers, due to potential contamination by food. PET can be taken to the Dechetterie, the eco-points around town and outside supermarkets. The second plastic you can recycle is (2) HDPE. Examples of HDPE include milk bottles, shampoo bottles and washing up liquid. These containers can only be disposed of outside supermarkets. All other plastics are thrown away - but it’s not all bad - most of them are incinerated and the energy is converted into heat for the grid 👊🏻

Eh bien, pour simplifier les choses, il existe 7 types de plastiques, chacun étant déterminé par son maquillage et son design. Sur les 7 types, vous ne pouvez actuellement recycler que 2 localement - cela est dû au fait qu’ils sont d’un plastique de qualité bien supérieure aux autres. Le premier que vous pouvez recycler est bien sûr (1) le PET. Cependant, soyez prudent - vous ne pouvez recycler que des bouteilles en PET - et non des contenants, en raison du risque de contamination par les aliments. Le PET peut être amené à la Dechetterie, aux points écologiques de la ville et également à l’extérieur des supermarchés. Le second plastique que vous pouvez recycler est le (2) HDPE. Les exemples de PEHD incluent les bouteilles de lait, les bouteilles de shampoing et le liquide vaisselle. Ces conteneurs ne peuvent être éliminés qu'en dehors des supermarchés.
